An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play forced Cappadocia FC's goalkeeper Oğuzhan Er to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Er saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cappadocia FC's Oğuzhan Er played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play. Oğuzhan Er didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Oğuzhan Er took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Cappadocia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Luca Rouco got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Mexico. After a rather tough play, Cappadocia FC's Mustafa Hamit Tolgay got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced Cappadocia FC's goalkeeper Oğuzhan Er to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Bülent Birdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Oğuzhan Er made a huge save. With a little luck, Cappadocia FC's Oğuzhan Er got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Er saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Oğuzhan Er made a huge save. After 93 played minutes Cappadocia FC got a freekick which was hit by Celal Oğurata. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cappadocia FC.
