Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costică Codrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Lăcătuș came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Fontirroig slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Republica Ploiești. Valentin Potopea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Camilo Freixa. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Cezar Costeiantu got a free kick in the 15th minute. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Manuel Lăcătuș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Nicu Zberea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Costică Codrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Lucian Luțu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Freixa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Costică Codrea charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costică Codrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Costică Codrea. Alfonso de la Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Manuel Lăcătuș made a huge save. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lăcătuș having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fernandino made a kick off. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicu Zberea in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Francisco Gallo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Zburliş. 63 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Lucian Luțu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucian Luțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Zburliş made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Costică Codrea however managed to control. The supporters of Republica Ploiești booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Bolivia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucian Luțu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Luțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Luțu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Camilo Freixa managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Republica Ploiești's Costică Codrea got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Costică Codrea off the ground. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Codrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Republica Ploiești walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
