The supporters of Venezuela booed when Aguias Praianas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Cosme Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Faas Gol put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. João Paulo da Cunha hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rogerio Batistuta came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rogerio Batistuta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 38 minute of play. After 42 played minutes Aguias Praianas FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo da Cunha. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faas Gol to make the kick off. If Vágner da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faas Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Aguias Praianas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Cosme Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 66th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aguias Praianas FC's Faas Gol shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Faas Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguias Praianas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faas Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
