David Trezeguet started the match with the kick off. SK8 4 lif3's János Gerencsér proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save SK8 4 lif3 from getting a goal against them. 2 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of János Gerencsér, 1-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Ros in the 5th minute of play. Foster Howe charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Foster Howe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SK8 4 lif3 getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Foster Howe hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. János Gerencsér made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute. 17 minutes in the game, Lautaro Mancebo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without János Gerencsér having to interfere. After some careless play in the SK8 4 lif3 defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of János Gerencsér. The SK8 4 lif3 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that János Gerencsér should have stopped the shot. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but János Gerencsér read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Ros in the 32nd minute of play. SK8 4 lif3 were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeferson Melo took the corner. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. János Gerencsér tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. János Gerencsér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with János Gerencsér in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patryk Barowicz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patryk Barowicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Patryk Barowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th play minute Alberto Tafalla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised János Gerencsér. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. János Gerencsér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, David Trezeguet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. János Gerencsér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Trezeguet in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when David Trezeguet came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that János Gerencsér narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Barrie Kemp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the SK8 4 lif3 defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of János Gerencsér. The SK8 4 lif3 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that János Gerencsér should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 90th minute of play forced SK8 4 lif3's goalkeeper János Gerencsér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
