Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Vistruario in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zeledon Vistruario was slow to take the kick. During this time Hunters FC's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mosaed Bo Qamaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hunters FC's Jérémy Doku got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Elmārs Bevalds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Mosaed Bo Qamaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute. Jérémy Doku got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Hunters FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jérémy Doku hit a great ball. Mosaed Bo Qamaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 73rd minute of play. Elmārs Bevalds struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hunters FC. Tomas Illescas in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mosaed Bo Qamaz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Moura in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 minutes, Zeledon Vistruario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hunters FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Hunters FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Vistruario. A sloppy throw-in by Zeledon Vistruario in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. In the 83rd minute Benedito Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mosaed Bo Qamaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 85th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
