Yavuz Selimhan Yağız took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fidan SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Fidan SK's Yavuz Selimhan Yağız played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rauf Özalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Fidan SK's Rauf Özalp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rauf Özalp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Fidan SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rauf Özalp came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feridun Vefai in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rauf Özalp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
