Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Jairo Baraquiel sent off a good shot on target. Lawrence Lawless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Baraquiel got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Baraquiel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Descamisados CF's Lawrence Lawless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 played minutes Jairo Baraquiel rounded Colombia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Jairo Baraquiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Baraquiel ran back to his position shaking his head. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Baraquiel was the one to do the kick off. Lawrence Lawless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 54th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Baraquiel in the 56th minute of the match. Jairo Baraquiel scored 3-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Thomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Jairo Baraquiel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Descamisados CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Descamisados CF's Celestino Artaldo was substituted for Jairo Baraquiel. Thanks to some nice moves Abram Secada could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Lawrence Lawless however easily saved by the left post. Descamisados CF's Lawrence Lawless proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Descamisados CF from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Secada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lawrence Lawless made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Descamisados CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
