Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Sagrario Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sagrario Paniagua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play. CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 16th minute of play. Sagrario Paniagua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sagrario Paniagua was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sagrario Paniagua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Orland Urria hit a great ball. Sagrario Paniagua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua did a great save.

The wind increased when Xan Revillas made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sagrario Paniagua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sagrario Paniagua didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sagrario Paniagua quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sagrario Paniagua was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Sagrario Paniagua in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sagrario Paniagua made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. CD Municipal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua managed to reach the ball for a save. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kemen Zalon kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Mambru Entrala got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Joel Gaona sped through CD Municipal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sagrario Paniagua. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sagrario Paniagua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CD Municipal throughout the match.
