The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 白诚树 let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 9th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. 俞峰朋 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 冰谷 舒 in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when 孔景斐 got free with Benito Sanz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, 孔景斐 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves 白诚树 could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 孔景斐. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 孔景斐 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孔景斐, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by 冰谷 舒 in the 58th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 白诚树 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 冰谷 舒 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 孔景斐 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 孔景斐 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
