FC CSKA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canada the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC CSKA's Bradley de Nooijer got a free kick in the 19th minute. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mccarthy in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes FC CSKA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koby Wright who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Canada's Jan Dixon to a score. 1-0 in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 32nd minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Canada's Koby Wright sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgi Velinov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC CSKA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. Richard Mccarthy made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov managed to reach the ball for a save. Georgi Velinov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Koby Wright's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 39th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koby Wright in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Eric Hill hit a great ball. FC CSKA's Marian Pachev was substituted for Tanel Kiik. Filip Edwards scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georgi Velinov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruslan Dzhalev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jax Williamson made a huge save. In the 70th minute of the match FC CSKA got a corner. Canada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bradley de Nooijer ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 74th minute Canada were awarded a corner. Jan Dixon went to the cornerflag to take it. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the last second Jax Williamson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Asparuh Genovski in the 83rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some careless play in the FC CSKA defense, Prince Anderson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georgi Velinov. The FC CSKA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georgi Velinov should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theo Burton in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georgi Velinov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Harris in the 91st minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canada had played much better football throughout.
