Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona made the kick off and thus started the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Almkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Udinese's Jan-Erik Ahlfors got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan-Erik Ahlfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Almkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute of the match, Betão Machado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dan Almkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dan Almkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Nils-Åke Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Joacim Berggren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dan Almkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play forced Udinese's goalkeeper Dan Almkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Udinese's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Udinese's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Udinese's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 46th minute, Nils-Åke Lundgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Almkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Erik Ahlfors, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Lundgren in the 54th minute of play. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Dan Almkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. With a little luck, Udinese's Dan Almkvist got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Udinese's Dan Almkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Udinese from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, Andolin Climent notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the game, Andolin Climent was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Udinese's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dan Almkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Andolin Climent cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Machado came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Machado in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Udinese getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jan-Erik Ahlfors hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Almkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mexico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Udinese.
