With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qiu Chuan Ran saved Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Gonzalo Lixandro made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Raimundo Ventura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. A hard shot 25 in the game by Gonzalo Lixandro from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Faria. Qiu Chuan Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran. Qiu Chuan Ran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qiu Chuan Ran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Qiu Chuan Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Colombia booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Garrido in the 45th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Qiu Chuan Ran when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Raimundo Ventura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Qiu Chuan Ran made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qiu Chuan Ran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Abram Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 66th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Qiu Chuan Ran in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74 minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. Gonzalo Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Abram Secada struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Qiu Chuan Ran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
