After 2 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. Zurlo Team's Alvise Monti got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demetrio Crosta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demetrio Crosta was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Demetrio Crosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Zurlo Team booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabrizio Renzetti. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo Galante during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Espiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demetrio Crosta. That made the score 1-5 in the 87 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Demetrio Crosta threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Villa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Crosta having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zurlo Team's Ciccio Di Loreto got a free kick in the 95th minute.
