Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Betão Machado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Joacim Berggren from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 12th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Betão Machado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Udinese's goalie prevented a goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Almkvist having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Almkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Brain Van Aertvin in the 25 minute of the game. After having played for 28 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils-Åke Lundgren struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Udinese. After a rather tough play, Udinese's Gabriel Lindholm got a free kick in the 34th minute. Nils-Åke Lundgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão Machado got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Nils-Åke Lundgren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Machado came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lundgren in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joacim Berggren was slow to take the kick. During this time Udinese's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Udinese's corner Elliot Siggman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Nils-Åke Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Udinese's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Åke Lundgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Betão Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Betão Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Nils-Åke Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Udinese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Åke Lundgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Dan Almkvist made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Åke Lundgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Åke Lundgren in the 75th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lundgren in the 77th minute of play. Udinese's Nils-Åke Lundgren got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Lundgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brain Van Aertvin, made in the 89th minute of the game. Udinese were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joacim Berggren took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joacim Berggren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joshua Secada's late challenge caught a Udinese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joshua Secada helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Berggren in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Udinese booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Udinese.
