The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Filip Pincoski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of the match. After 43 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filip Pincoski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wit Osielski to make the kick off. In the 66th minute Mikolaj Dranka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Słodkie Cytryny's corner Enrico Colella fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest.
