Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Frédson Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valder Gausbo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Valder Gausbo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Melo in the 11th minute of play. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Catalin Haldan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Melo to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Živko Dabović notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Eugen Morozan in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. 26 minutes into the match, Catalin Haldan's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Olavi Liib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Živko Dabović got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Živko Dabović, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frédson Melo in the 35th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Catalin Haldan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valder Gausbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 39 in the game by Frédson Melo from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Catalin Haldan getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cirilo Romo hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Frédson Melo made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Catalin Haldan from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Catalin Haldan's Liviu Fințescu got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalin Haldan's goalkeeper Olavi Liib, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Cirilo Romo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cirilo Romo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Catalin Haldan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Romo took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 90 minutes, Frédson Melo made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
