When Julio Roca came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Gallito Pisador CDM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Roca couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Kevin Mastache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bernardo Paublo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Roca went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Bernardo Paublo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Mastache in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Gallito Pisador CDM getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bocho Duro hit a great ball. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Paublo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 33rd minute of play forced Gallito Pisador CDM's goalkeeper Bernardo Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Elvio Unai in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. Bocho Toro's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bocho Toro helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gallito Pisador CDM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gallito Pisador CDM's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Santino Seco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardo Paublo quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Santino Seco sped through Gallito Pisador CDM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardo Paublo. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Roca in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Colombia were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Antonio Indiano made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gallito Pisador CDM's Higinio Farias. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Roca in the 53rd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Farias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Ignacio Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
