Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Nestor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. In the 36th minute, ZigZag Athletic's Rodrigo Nestor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ZigZag Athletic the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Tiago Corrêa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When ZigZag Athletic's Rodrigo Nestor in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute Tiago Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Nestor in the 62nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Isaksson in the 64th minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 67th minute when Rodrigo Nestor elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. ZigZag Athletic's Jerry Hedman was substituted for Per-Olof Brolin. After a rather tough play, ZigZag Athletic's Wiktor Gaszynski got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The long shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute really tested Mehmet Akif Ersoy's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 76th minute, Rodrigo Nestor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 played minutes ZigZag Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Hedman. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that ZigZag Athletic were the better team. ZigZag Athletic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
