Peter Paul Dingli might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Paul Dingli ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 93 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Paul Dingli succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1.
