In the 13th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Sletteenge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Reinhardt Sasmar tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gerhart Krainert. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 13th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gerhart Krainert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wagn Nytoft fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sletteenge's protests and gave Wagn Nytoft a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sletteenge's Wagn Nytoft got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Sletteenge's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gerhart Krainert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Wagn Nytoft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerhart Krainert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. After 30 minutes Sletteenge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sletteenge's Gerhart Krainert did a great save. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerhart Krainert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Gerhart Krainert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fritz Grauholt came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gerhart Krainert quite easily take care of the ball. Gerhart Krainert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fritz Grauholt made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fritz Grauholt in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Gerhart Krainert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 57th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gerhart Krainert was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wagn Nytoft in the 64th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wagn Nytoft in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Sletteenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibrahim Svolgart to maneuver through the defense. Sletteenge's Timo Mangelsen was substituted for Jacob Lubfeldt. A collision led to Sletteenge getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ibrahim Svolgart hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerhart Krainert having to interfere. Sletteenge made a substitution. Torsten Akselvad replaced Wilhelm Blegvad. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerhart Krainert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerhart Krainert having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 84th minute, but Gerhart Krainert got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Sletteenge hanging dry this time. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sletteenge throughout the match.
