After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77thth minute of the game Kurt Lobb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Lobb took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. The supporters of Bristol Bombardiers FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Bristol Bombardiers FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
