Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Serafin Toribio started the match with the kick off. When Serafin Toribio fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored All Boys's protests and gave Serafin Toribio a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela made a substitution. Guillermo Espina replaced Rigoberto Mina. After 4 played minutes All Boys got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Toribio. In the 7th match minute, All Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Casomiro to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Montay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when All Boys's Serafin Toribio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mauro Montay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Serafin Toribio scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. In the 37th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Toribio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes in the game, Tomas Illescas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mauro Montay having to interfere. Mauro Montay came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 61st minute, Silvio Llin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, All Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Mauro Montay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro Montay. That made the score 1-2 after 67 minutes of play. All Boys's Aquiles Orlin was substituted for Francisco Iztal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All Boys made a substitution. Luis Veto replaced Eduardo Illan. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 79th playminute. All Boys's Mauro Montay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Mauro Montay in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedicto Xabier charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedicto Xabier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes All Boys got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Llin. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Toribio in the 94th minute of the match. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
