Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Milky Way's goalkeeper Klemen Mikuž, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Klemen Mikuž didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Agnaldo Ramalho in the 8thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Milky Way's zone, Juan Sebastián Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klemen Mikuž came out of the goal and Juan Sebastián Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Klemen Mikuž showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klemen Mikuž saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klemen Mikuž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klemen Mikuž saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Agnaldo Ramalho 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Klemen Mikuž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Milky Way's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Klemen Mikuž reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agnaldo Ramalho in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Ramalho came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Ramalho in the 42nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klemen Mikuž breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agnaldo Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of play forced Milky Way's goalkeeper Klemen Mikuž to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agnaldo Ramalho went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milky Way's Jožko Špehar was substituted for Ludvik Anclin. Agnaldo Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Klemen Mikuž to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Milky Way's Armin Gradin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Armin Gradin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Klemen Mikuž took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes of play, Milky Way's Ernes Flakus made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Milky Way's Klemen Mikuž played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jožko Špehar in the 87th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Milky Way got a freekick which was hit by Alben Ržen. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Verbič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Milky Way fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
