Artur Kondratyuk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Bogdan Petlyura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. In the 34th minute of the match FC Chernomorets got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Panas Zaporozhan ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Chernomorets's Panas Zaporozhan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. FC Chernomorets's Panas Zaporozhan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Chernomorets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artem Dmytryjenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Dmytro Semchuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Bogdan Petlyura sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Petlyura in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Bogdan Petlyura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
