The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Lobb got free with Dante Lacasa in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 minutes Bristol Bombardiers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 11th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Lobb in the 13th minute of the match. Mickey Thompson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Luca Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Burgess came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickey Thompson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Lobb in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes in the game, Kurt Lobb dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Bristol Bombardiers FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Jake Hardcastle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After 38 played minutes Bristol Bombardiers FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Walton. A collision led to Bristol Bombardiers FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kurt Lobb hit a great ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kurt Lobb made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Kurt Lobb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mickey Thompson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bristol Bombardiers FC's Mickey Thompson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Bristol Bombardiers FC from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mickey Thompson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Hardcastle in the 73rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Thompson having to interfere. Mickey Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Lobb in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Mickey Thompson made a huge save. Daryl Burgess kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
