Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Emil Zaremba started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 4 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erivaldo Furlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Furlan. Tamboril's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th match minute, Tamboril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Torres to maneuver through the defense. Erivaldo Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. When Rubens Torres fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamboril's protests and gave Rubens Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Rubens Torres hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tamboril's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan did a great save. Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Arias in the 24th minute of play. Erivaldo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tamboril's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Cristian Sancho made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan managed to reach the ball for a save. Erivaldo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Erivaldo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Tamboril from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Erivaldo Furlan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Tamboril from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erivaldo Furlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erivaldo Furlan. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Eurico Cordeiro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erivaldo Furlan came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 67th minute. After 70 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erivaldo Furlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Furlan having to interfere. Cacá Matorin took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Erivaldo Furlan managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Furlan made a huge save. After having played for 86 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Vânderson Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
