The wind increased when Txema Cerbera made the kick off in the second half. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaur Kapten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kaur Kapten. That made the score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. Sam Lunt took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Txema Cerbera's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Txema Cerbera helped the player get up and apologised. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaur Kapten having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kaur Kapten, 2-3. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Kaur Kapten made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Sam Lunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Sam Lunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Lunt came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
