The supporters of Venezuela booed when Absolut Rasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Absolut Rasta FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Absolut Rasta FC's German Gil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Oto having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Gil in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Enzo Maiorga put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant.
