The corner led Les 3 Quilles FC's Aílton Zonta to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jules Spinelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Les 3 Quilles FC's Jules Spinelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jules Spinelli in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time.
