Vaios Chatzidimitriou hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Makris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Manos Makris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 11 in the game by Kostas Romanakoglou from a close distance when the talented Lautaro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Honduras's players were relieved. 20 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Leonidis came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras's Christian Sancho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Christos Kardaris, made in the 27th minute of the game. Manos Makris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Kostas Romanakoglou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 39th minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, BPS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Manos Makris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Thomas Tsolakopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vaios Chatzidimitriou in the 52 minute of the game. In the 54th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Honduras's corner Edmundo Espiga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manos Makris quite easily take care of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Vaios Chatzidimitriou threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Kostas Romanakoglou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind BPS F.C.'s goalkeeper Manos Makris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Manos Makris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manos Makris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Kostas Leonidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BPS F.C. and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Makris having to interfere. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Leonidis in the 95th minute of play. Honduras were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
