Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Rolando Amorebieta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jacinto Cuadrado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Martinelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Hitzeder Manrique tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cuadrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Hitzeder Manrique sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boca Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado did a great save. In the 57th minute Hitzeder Manrique shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hitzeder Manrique in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rainerio Obis hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Banaszak came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Cuadrado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 79th minute. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Jacinto Cuadrado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hitzeder Manrique in the 87th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hitzeder Manrique in the 87th minute of play.
