Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Efrain Roldan started the match with the kick off. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CERPA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 5th minute Efrain Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CERPA were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Natalio Kusko took the corner. Eugenio Asier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERPA's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Thiago Pliego managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when CERPA's Efrain Roldan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eugenio Asier came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Orlando Casaus. But to his dismay, Orlando Casaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Victoriano Tonete sent off a good shot on target. When Olimpiu Morozan fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERPA's protests and gave Olimpiu Morozan a yellow card for diving instead. Eugenio Asier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Eugenio Asier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Eugenio Asier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 62 minutes into the match, CERPA's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Eugenio Asier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 69 in the game by Mariano Lacasa from a close distance when the talented Eugenio Asier managed to make a qualified save. CERPA's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mariano Lacasa sped through CERPA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugenio Asier. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Roldan in the 73rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chile were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after CERPA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Mariano Lacasa made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that CERPA's Eugenio Asier managed to reach the ball for a save. After 77 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Jose Manzanedo. Mariano Lacasa came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eugenio Asier could save by the left post. Efrain Roldan took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Eugenio Asier came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Wilhelm Volle charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilhelm Volle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
