Colombia were furious when Santino Seco was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Pedro Manzanares had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Kjell Fribäck's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Joseph Melin struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BELAJ BOYS. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Kjell Fribäck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kjell Fribäck went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils-Erik Hermansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nils-Erik Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 36th minute of the match. Zaaki Zakas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Zaaki Zakas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Garrido in the 44th minute of play forced BELAJ BOYS's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Hermansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Björn Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Axel Montenegro made the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Erik Hermansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Nils-Erik Hermansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Kevin Mastache took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Nils-Erik Hermansson to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute, Abram Sarmiento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils-Erik Hermansson. The goal made the score 2-3. BELAJ BOYS's Fabian Gurgul was substituted for Joseph Melin. 64 minutes into the match, Fabian Gurgul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Gurgul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Banan Banana in the 68th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Erik Hermansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. 73 minutes into the match, Fabian Gurgul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Gurgul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. A sloppy throw-in by Kjell Fribäck in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Abram Secada. In the 81st minute, Kevin Mastache fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nils-Erik Hermansson, passed just outside the right post. Fabian Gurgul blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Lundgren in the 84th minute of play. Pascual Carballar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Hermansson having to interfere. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Gavril Tomozei sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BELAJ BOYS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
