In the 25thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but M0RF1G4Z's Alfredão do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to M0RF1G4Z getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Feng Ting Yuan hit a great ball. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Túlio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. M0RF1G4Z's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the last second Alfredão do Nascimento throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Illescas in the 67thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 71st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play forced M0RF1G4Z's goalkeeper Alfredão do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
