Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devran Aktürk in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match ΔΓЅΣ∏ ΔLLΔ ∏GΣGG got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrej Kramarić ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Devran Aktürk got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Setzinger got free with Julio Vera in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Setzinger in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Alexander Setzingers short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörg Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrej Kramarić was slow to take the kick. During this time ΔΓЅΣ∏ ΔLLΔ ∏GΣGG's players had a chance to rest. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. A collision led to ΔΓЅΣ∏ ΔLLΔ ∏GΣGG getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Akay Tuğsav hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Lamine Lassaigne hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörg Wagner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. ΔΓЅΣ∏ ΔLLΔ ∏GΣGG's Jörg Wagner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play. After 63 played minutes ΔΓЅΣ∏ ΔLLΔ ∏GΣGG got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Freytag. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jörg Wagner. That made the score 1-2 after 70 minutes of play. Antonio Arias lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
