Adrian Snäll's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumitru Berca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Dalström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chuba Chubba Akpom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VIP the free kick. Ionuț Cerchez kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The Chuba Chubba Akpom players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VIP were winning 0-6.

The wind increased when Bengt-Rune Wållander made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Chuba Chubba Akpom defense, Dobri Karapetrov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Hultman. The Chuba Chubba Akpom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Hultman should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastian Ţugui kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fritz Hultman. That made the score 0-8 in the 53 minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Chuba Chubba Akpom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. Fritz Hultman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ilie Buhuș. After a rather tough play, Chuba Chubba Akpom's Birger Gunnarsson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Ilie Buhuș shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fritz Hultman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Sebastian Ţugui notched a goal, 1-14, to the right of Chuba Chubba Akpom's Fritz Hultman. Fritz Hultman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. VIP played a much better game than Chuba Chubba Akpom and deserved their victory. The Chuba Chubba Akpom players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
