Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Renato Donatello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes MALAIA FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Almeida. Joélson Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Paulo Renato Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Vicente Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Renato Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Donatello saved MALAIA FDFDF from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Renato Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Paulo Renato Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 77th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, MALAIA FDFDF's Maurinho Soeiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 82nd minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig scored 0-9 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Renato Donatello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
