The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Ivo Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 1-1 became the score in the 8th minute when Ivan Kulekov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Zanko Yochkolovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ivo Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 15 minutes into the match, ПФК Миньор Раднево's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ivo Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner led ПФК Миньор Раднево's Ottó Csizmadia to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottó Csizmadia in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivo Faria stood somewhat misplaced when Daniel Zorita came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 51 minute. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ПФК Миньор Раднево's Nayden Statkov was substituted for Daniel Shestakov. Vergil Manolev charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vergil Manolev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes ПФК Миньор Раднево got a freekick which was hit by Vergil Manolev. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ivo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. After 92 played minutes ПФК Миньор Раднево got a freekick which was hit by Nayden Statkov. In the 95th minute, Luis Andino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivo Faria. The goal made the score 1-3. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
