Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Tobiasz Kaszubowski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 7th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Golob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Phoenix's Roman Golob. Roman Golob was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 11 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Golob was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st match minute, Phoenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Gollob to maneuver through the defense. Roman Golob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Roman Golob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes Phoenix's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roman Golob quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Golob was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Roman Golob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of play. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play forced Phoenix's goalkeeper Roman Golob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Roman Golob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoenix's Roman Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of play. Iwo Mios hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maciej Gollob made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Roman Golob in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goalkeeper Roman Golob had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Phoenix's Roman Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of play. Phoenix's Roman Golob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play forced Phoenix's goalkeeper Roman Golob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Tobiasz Kaszubowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobiasz Kaszubowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 80th minute, Czeslaw Bochynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Phoenix's Tobiasz Kaszubowski got a free kick in the 89th minute. Roman Golob made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Phoenix.
