After 6th play minutes Paz Gledden shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Erlend Sørby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Leeton United FC's Clay Heath slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. Paz Gledden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paz Gleddens short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Brookes Crane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brookes Crane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Leeton United FC's Erlend Sørby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Erlend Sørby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erlend Sørby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The Leeton United FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Leeton United FC's Paz Gledden looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Brookes Crane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

Leeton United FC's Erlend Sørby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Leeton United FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Paz Gledden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Leeton United FC's Erlend Sørby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paz Gledden in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute Leeton United FC were awarded a corner. Gregory Krause went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gregory Krause got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paz Gledden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Leeton United FC's Nero Bonham was substituted for Baal Muncaster. Erlend Sørby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72ndth minute of the game Paz Gledden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paz Gledden in the 78th minute of play. Paz Gledden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Leeton United FC's Brookes Crane in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Erlend Sørby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Leeton United FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
