Roman Golob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maciej Gollob hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Phoenix's Roman Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Iwo Mios tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maciej Gollob in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bartlomiej Andrychowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Maciej Gollob scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roman Golob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 84th minute Maciej Gollob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goalkeeper Roman Golob had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maciej Gollob in the 90th minute of the match. Roman Golob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Golob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
