Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Krzysztof Prus made the kick off which started today's match. After 7 played minutes GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Babicki. After having played for 9 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krzysztof Prus. In the 14th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krzysztof Prus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Kuszczak in the 20th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Marian Czerner got a free kick in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Leszek Tusk could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. After 35 played minutes GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ got a freekick which was hit by Marian Czerner. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Krzysztof Prus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Jan Turek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Marian Czerner got a free kick in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 51st minute Krzysztof Prus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Pryputnicki hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Iwo Kuszczak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Leszek Tusk took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Prus, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Prus, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Pryputnicki in the 81st minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Kuszczak went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Noboa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan Turek. That made the score 3-1 in the 90 minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Costa Rica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
