Ziemowit Gierlach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iwo Wawrukiewicz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ziemowit Gierlach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ziemowit Gierlach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Ziemowit Gierlach came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The supporters of Panama booed when KOLIBER OCYPEL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawid Kazczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felipe Ros scored 0-6 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ziemowit Gierlach, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Ziemowit Gierlach successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Mietus, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ziemowit Gierlach was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Ziemowit Gierlach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziemowit Gierlach having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in KOLIBER OCYPEL's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ziemowit Gierlach came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ziemowit Gierlach was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Isidoro Sarmiento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. Felipe Ros charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Ros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Percha went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. Oscar Laguna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziemowit Gierlach having to interfere. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
