The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dušan Vlahović charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Nytäppet Fc's Sture Abrahamsson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Lindman ran over to the corner to take the kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! When the referee blew the final whistle, Nytäppet Fc could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
