In the 14th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabby Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilulea FC's Gabby Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. Gabby Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of the match. Gabby Arias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute 史铮坤 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 27th minute of play forced Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabby Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eleuterio Mirande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Mirande in the 37th minute. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Ilulea FC's Eleuterio Mirande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Martin Gorbea made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marian Golembiewski however managed to control. If Eleuterio Mirande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Mirande came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Mirande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabby Arias. Gabby Arias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabby Arias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Mirande in the 67th minute of play. Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 minutes of play, Ilulea FC's Eleuterio Mirande made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd match minute, Ilulea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Golembiewski to maneuver through the defense. The Colombia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ilulea FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
