Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 6 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of VALPICA C.F.'s Rodrigo Ramos. Rodrigo Ramos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 8 minutes into the match, VALPICA C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Rodrigo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Adolfo Carro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 14th minute. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Medero Nadal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 18thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VALPICA C.F.'s Rodrigo Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes Quique Bacete shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Benito Sanz when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 26 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. In the 28th minute, Medero Nadal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 minutes of play Costa Rica's Abel Carballo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of VALPICA C.F. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Quique Bacete sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Costa Rica's Benito Sanz didn't even have to move. Jerico March's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerico March helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Jerico March hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes VALPICA C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Tavio Rienda. After 42 played minutes VALPICA C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Tavio Rienda.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Medero Nadal to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medero Nadal in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Medero Nadal in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 66thth minute of the game Medero Nadal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, VALPICA C.F.'s Rodrigo Ramos got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to VALPICA C.F. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cipriano Lastras hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, VALPICA C.F.'s Medero Nadal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience was convinced that Medero Nadal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 77 minutes of play, VALPICA C.F.'s Tavio Rienda made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the game, VALPICA C.F.'s Medero Nadal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When Medero Nadal came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the VALPICA C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Medero Nadal couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Tavio Rienda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 93rdth minute of the game Medero Nadal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Medero Nadal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VALPICA C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VALPICA C.F. had played much better football throughout.
