An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Nofre in the 25th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Dolmos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 29th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Josemir Lujambio sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the game, J.J Huge threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Dolmos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Argentino's Ennu Krae was substituted for Pastor Nofre. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josemir Lujambio to make the kick off. Denis Dolmos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute. Eulalio Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Denis Dolmos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Atlético Argentino booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by J.J Huge, made in the 77th minute of the game. Timoteo Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Atlético Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Denis Dolmos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josemir Lujambio in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josemir Lujambio in the 89th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennu Krae in the 91st minute of play. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After 94 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Luz Tejedor. Denis Dolmos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 97th minute. A collision led to Atlético Argentino getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Timoteo Rojelio hit a great ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 99th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Denis Dolmos but with some difficulty. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
