Laércio Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Luz got free with Rolando Noboa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milagros Fraga went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hélio Andrade hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laércio Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Laércio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarcisio Luz made a kick off. In the 54th minute Tarcisio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes in the game, Tarcisio Luz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Laércio Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Delassus. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Marcelo Arantes was substituted for Hélio Andrade.
