After taking down the ball on Club Atletico Chusca's corner Richie Craig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. Serafin Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Eate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Moreira in the 78th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Lauro Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lauro Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 88 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Secada made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Eate was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
