Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Jerano in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Cumali Neşat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Facundo Cadaval was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 9th minute. Ahmet Turan Raşit kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Zafer Musa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alfredo Jerano hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Hazer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th match minute, A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baran Alp Barın to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Alberto Tafalla heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cumali Neşat made a kick off. Zafer Musa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bora Hazer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bora Hazer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Facundo Cadaval showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. Bora Hazer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer managed to reach the ball for a save. Luca Rouco struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bora Hazer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cumali Neşat went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The attack was good, but when Joel Gaona in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 86 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bora Hazer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Joel Gaona's late challenge caught a A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Gaona helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
